WWW Wednesday

Today, I’m doing WWW Wednesday hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you will read next?

Currently Reading:

red sister

I’m currently reading Red Sister by Mark Lawrence. I’m not very far yet so I don’t have a lot of thoughts regarding the book since I just started. So far, I like what I’ve read, especially since it probably has one of the best prologues I’ve ever read and the best opening line I’ve ever read. The premise is also very very interesting featuring assassin nuns so I’m pretty excited to read more. I consider this as my “main” book that I’m reading.

steal the sky

I’m also reading Steal the Sky by Megan E. O’Keefe on my phone. I promised myself I’d get around to reading all the books I bought in the Angry Robot Books Humble Bundle and I’ve only read one so far. So I decided to read Steal the Sky because it sounds like a Steampunk Fantasy story featuring a heist and scrappy rogue protagonists. I’ll mostly be reading this on my breaks and whenever I have free time during the day.

Recently Finished

the hazel wood

I just finished The Hazel Wood last night (review to come in a bit) and well, it definitely has one of the best book covers I’ve seen. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it as much as I hoped I would- I’d touch more on this in my review. I think that I really should start listening to the reviewers I trust a lot more since I find we mostly share the same taste in books.

Reading Next

the final empire

I recently finished buying all the books in the Mistborn Era 1 trilogy so I can finally start on these books after finishing Red Sister. I decided to complete the set because the books can be hard to find where I live and I don’t want to deal with the book hangover brought about by not having the next book in the series. Considering that I’ve liked all the big epic fantasy books I’ve been reading so far, I’m pretty excited to dive into the series.

So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! Let me know your thoughts and feel free to share what you’ve been reading this week with me!

  1. I keep hearing less than positive things about The Hazel Wood, and it’s so disappointing haha. I’m glad you’re about to read Mistborn though! Those books are amazing. I hope you enjoy it! 😊

  2. It’s really sad that The Hazel Wood disappointed me because I felt like it could have been more. Thank you! I’m really hoping I’d like Mistborn since the Cosmere really sounds intriguing and I’d love to read more about it.
